Description
The westernmost point in Maine is also the Maine - New
Hampshire - Quebec tri-point. To reach this point, take the paper company road that exits US3 just north of Second Connecticut Lake. Follow
the road to its end at Rhubarb Pond and climb the boundary ridge to the international vista, a 6 meter cleared swath along the border.
Follow the vista to the stone monument marked "United States", "Canada", and "475".
Please be aware that the USGS topographic map
incorrectly depicts the location of this monument. The Canadian International Boundary Commission map shown here is correct.
