Description
This point is adjacent to the Big Sioux River nead Hudson,
SD. It can be reached by following the road E of the garin elevator in Hudson then turning right and following a farm road to a position
directly W of the point. A fence line runs E-W from the road to the river at this location. From here, traverse a field of crops, then tall
grasses, then woods until you reach the point (about 0.75 miles). It may be necessary to use a compass to determine the exact point since
the river's course may change slightly depending on flow rate. During our visit in July, 2001 the field was planted with soybeans and the
rows were running E-W, making travel fairly easy. A tall hayfield or cornfield with rows running N-S might present a problem.
